Dear Kay and family,
We were deeply saddened when we received your note today about the passing of Christine. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We ask that God will help you through this difficult time.

October 20, 2006

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say... but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay. I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight. Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you." It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone. As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on. I need you here badly; you're part of my plan. There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man." God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do. And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you. And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight. God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night. When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain. Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain. I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned. But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand. But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er. I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before. There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb; but together we can do it by taking one day at a time. It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too... that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you. If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain, then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain." And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile, knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile. So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low, just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go. When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind; I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free, remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me. Ruth Ann Mahaffey (author) ©Copyright 1998-2006

Christine Marie Hession was the most amazing girl I have ever met in my entire life. When my eyes first laid upon the magnificent beauty she encompassed I was awestruck. Her jovial character was literally flawless. She never had one mean thing to say about anything. She always went out of her way to make everyone around her happy. Chris had an auroa that was visible from a mile away. Once you met her she had a way of influencing your attitude in a tremendously positive way that you could never forget her. I know I never will. I will love you infinitely Christine Marie Hession.

Time may have passed us all, but Chris's passing brings on such sadness and sorrow!! When Chris was young, Reenie and I did our best showing Chris just how to crank (sorry everyone :-)), toss a salad at a house (sorry), have a parade at midnight (good timing) or how to be as crazy and funny as ever. (at least we thought it was all funny :-))From what I understand, she did a great job!!! My heart and sole go out to the entire Hession family!!!! You will always have a special place forever reserved in my heart!!!! Chris will leave me with fond memories, and never be forgotton!!! I love you all, and God Bless!!

Dear Kay,
How do we find the right words at a time like this. Ray heard from Danny and Jack McGuire last night at bowling. She will always remain in my memory as that beautiful, tiny, sweet little blond. How we all fussed over her at Queens.
I will certainly remember her in my prayers forever.
Think of you often.

October 4, 2006

Dear Hession Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of Chris. Chris was a good fiend of my sister Colleen Holland and a friend of mine as well. When I first met Chris, I knew right away that she was someone that was full of life and love. Eveytime I was around her, I felt loved and welcomed. Chris had the talent to make everyone and anyone feel special. She had a beautiful life and soul and I know that I will miss her so much. I only wish that I had the chance to get to know her better. Chris had so much personalty and I know that with every person that she encounterd, she brought a smile to their face. Chris was the kind of girl that when she walked into a room, the room would light up. I know that every time I was around Chris, I was never without a smile. But that's who Chris was. She had the talent to make everyone smile, even if they didn't want to. I hope that you all get through this very tough time together and know that no matter what, Chris is with all of us, smiling and going through life with each and every one of us. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Kay and Family - I know there are no words that can ease the pain that you feel in your hearts. But there are many words that can be used to describe Chris. She was kind, caring, thoughtful, loving, fun and much more, and your wonderful memories of her will hopefully, someday, bring you comfort. Yes, she was taken away too young from her loving family and friends, and it is horrible. Please know that I am one of the many people who care about you and are keeping you and your family in their thoughts and prayers. May God bring you some form of peace during this most difficult time.

"Faith is the assurance that the things which God said in His word are true; and that God will act according to what He has said in His word. Faith is this confidence, our reliance on God's word. We have faith that there is much more beyond the here and now, beyond our physical selves. We have faith that we will live forever, in a place of beauty beyond our imagination with God's peace and love. We believe this because we rely on God's word."

Faith is not easy, particularly when dealing with difficult circumstances and tragic outcomes. We extend our love, prayers and deepest sympathy to the Hession family. We will miss Christine's kindness, gentleness and love of life. She was truly a "gentle soul". We were blessed to have her in our lives and will miss her deeply.

Christine was the kind of person I like to refer to as the "quiet laugh". Upon first glance you wouldn't think this tiny girl would be the one to have you smiling from ear to ear and in stitches by the end of the evening. Her personality was too large for that little frame. We will always love and miss you Chrissy!

We will never forget you Chris!

As one travels through life, you meet a long list of people that leave an impression on you one way or another. Some you meet and that is it, and others you meet and can’t wait until the next time you meet them again. Christine was definitely the person you could not wait to meet again. Her kind spirit and upbeat attitude was always a refreshing break, no matter how your day was going. When you met Christine, you knew you were not far from a big smile and a kind word. No matter how it was going already, your day was about to get better because she was genuinely fun to be around.

She always thought of the feelings of others above and beyond everything else. While I am sure she had them, in all the time I knew her I do not recall her saying a single hurtful word about anyone. She lived the adage, if nothing nice to say…

Although she was technically my sister-in-law, I always thought of her as my sister and will miss her dearly. Chris, It was an absolute honor to know you and I will never forget you.

Our lady of Mt. Carmel, Please pray for Kay, Dan, Mary Pat, Noreen, and the entire Hession family.
