I call still see and hear Mr. Panos at the Greek Epirotka Dances and speaking about all the Greeks still in Albania and Freeing them.He was not only a Greek from Tsatista but a Great Greek.He made us all proud to be from Tsatista.Zoe sa Sas !

I'm signing this on behalf of my father James Panagiotis, Jr who shared with me this past evening his thoughts and sadness on the passing of his childhood friend and "good buddy" Christ who he left Tsatista with, endured the evening cold, huddled together rationing their food on that long boat voyage across the Atlantic of which many were sick and died, shared the adventure of their lives, came to this country, endured the language barrier, remained spirited friends early in their years in the US, and who he boldly went to high school with chasing that American dream. As a child, I remember Mr Panos because my father use to proudly ask me, do you know who this is? Well it took me awhile, but I got it, and I've long realized this was a special man to my father. And though the years have passed, my father expressed to me last evening how fondly he holds Christ in his memory. The travel is more difficult now than it was in their adventurous youth, hence he is not with you all at this time. He asked me to write something for all of you to know how he feels. Well, I could hear that same pride in his voice last evening as he spoke of Christ. And for all of you who really understand Greeks, they wear their pride on their sleeves, but hold their feelings dear to their hearts. That was a special moment for me last evening, and I wanted to share that with all of Christ's family and friends. There are not many of these great men who remain with us, but Christ now joins many of those patrioti who have left us...one of which is my uncle Steve who Christ knew very well. May his memory be eternal.
