Kaplan, Chester 85, beloved husband of Betty (nee Dicker) for 62 years, devoted father of Dorothy "Dottie" (Joseph) Zoller and Barbara (Marc) Slutsky, loving grandfather of Elizabeth (Michael) Cohen, Jessica (Peter) Kaplan, Shana and Max Slutsky, cherished great-grandfather of Daryn Adina Kaplan, dear brother of Dorothy (the late Irving) Fleshner, William (Evelyn) Kaplan and the late Helen (the late Harry) Schneer, further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at Congregation Solel, 1301 Clavey Rd., Highland Park, IL 60035. Interment Waldheim. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to Congregation Solel or Aitz Hayim Center for Jewish Living, 1778 Second Street, Highland Park, IL 60035 would be appreciated. Dear Barbara, Marc, Shana and Max,
The Dobkin Family is very sorry about the passing of your loving father and grandfather. Although we did not know him, we can see how much he loved all of you by the love he put in Shana's doll house.
