Banasiak, Chester J. age 90, late of LaPorte, IN, formerly of Westville, IN and the South Side of Chicago, beloved husband of the late Edna (nee Franczak), dear father of Thomas (Martha), the late James (Kathleen) and Robert (Kathleen) Banasiak, cherished grandfather of Debra (John) Aleo, Shawnah Newman, Cynthia (Thomas) Deery, James (Tammy), Michael (Karen), Richard (Linda), Jennifer (Edward) Downs and Jacqueline (Raul) Lopez, dearest great grandfather of 14, devoted brother of the late Jane (the late John) Wojcicki, late Al and the late Albina (Betty) (late Joseph) Rybicki, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday, 2 until 9 p.m. at the Sadowski Funeral Home, 13300 S. Houston Ave., Hegewisch, IL. Funeral Mass Thursday, 10 a.m. at St. Florian Church. Interment private.
