Hollis, Charlie E. 85, of Elmhurst. Beloved husband of Lorraine (nee Klein), fond father of Charles Dee and Daniel (Karen), grandfather of Crystal and Danny, brother of Irene McAnulty, John Dee Hollis, Edward Shipp, Marie, Leonard Massey, Henry Massey and Nell Massey. Member of Walter A. Glos Post #2048 VFW, American Legion, St. Peter's United Church of Christ and I.B.E.W. Local 1220. He had served on the U.S.S. Bushnell in WWII. Visitation at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst, from 3 to 7 p.m., Sunday. Services 11 a.m. Monday, July 9 at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 125 W. Church St., Elmhurst. Interment Mt. Emblem Cemetery. Memorials will be appreciated for the church. Info., 630-834-3515 or www.ahlgrim.com
