Zidek, Charles "Chuck" Edward 84 of Riverside, IL devoted husband of Barbara Ann (nee Young) for 58 years; loving father of Mary (Kurt) Heinrich, Michael (Susan) Zidek, Thomas Zidek, Stephen (Susan) Zidek, Timothy (Mary) Zidek, Charles (Kathleen) Zidek and the late Joan (Jeffrey) Ward; cherished grandfather of 14; dear brother of the late Louise A. Pavlin. Chuck was raised in Riverside and graduated from Marmion Academy (1948) and Purdue University (1952). U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He and Barbara raised seven children in Riverside where he served on numerous boards and committees in the public school district and St. Mary Parish. His entire professional career was with Midland Metal a family business and served as the CEO and owner from the mid 80's to the late 90's. Visitation Friday, December 19, 2014 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, 8:45 until time of services at 9:45 a.m. at Ivins/Moravecek Funeral Home, 80 E. Burlington Street, Riverside, to St. Mary Church, Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
