Charles Williams Obituary

Devoted Husband of 73 Years

Charles Walter Williams, 94, of Godfrey Drive, Norton, died on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at his residence surrounded by the love of his family and memories of years past. He was the beloved husband and soul mate of Helen W. (Willard) Williams to whom he was married on September 3, 1932.

Born in Fairbanks, Alaska on September 3, 1910, he was a son of Charles Walter and Gray (Davis) Williams. He resided in Ohio prior to moving to Florida where he lived for many years prior to moving to Norton, Massachusetts in February 2003. He attended Indiana University.

He was employed as a sales person for many years prior to his retirement in 1965.

Since moving to Massachusetts, he was a communicant at All Saint’s Episcopal Church, Attleboro.

In addition to his beloved and adored wife of 73 years, he leaves a daughter: Barbara Sue Williams with whom he resided in Norton; a son: Michael Wray Williams of Henderson, Nevada; a grandson; three granddaughters and dedicated caregivers.

Private funeral services will be held at the family home in Norton with the Rev. Lance Guiffrida, Rector of All Saint’s Episcopal Church, Attleboro, officiating in prayer and leading the family in a private remembrance service.

Burial will be private.

Visitation has been respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Williams’ name may be made to the Berea College, College Post Office Box 2220, Berea, Kentucky 40404.
