Charles May was a great friend Ron and Denise Scott, of Chicago IL.
I met Charles in 1976. He was an Attorney in down town Chicago.
He was my attorney when Denise and I bought a condo on 67th and Crandon Ave in Chicago....

I am just learning of Judge May's passing. I owe him so much. Judge May trained me to become the lawyer I am today. Behind his back we called him Sargent Waters of the famed stageplay "A Soldier's Story." He demanded competence and confidence. Outside the courtroom, he took me to the theatre to expose me to a little culture. He even allowed me to bring my wife. He broke me down from my old habits and rebuilt me to fight a good fight. Rest in power Judge May. I shall pass the torch as you pass it on to me.
