Charles Griffin Obituary

Charles Pee Wee Griffin, 61, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014. He was born in Edgecombe County February 19, 1953 to the late Harold and Elizabeth Griffin. Charles was a member of West Mount Emanuel Holiness Church. He is survived by his brothers, Edward Griffin and wife Daisy of Rocky Mount, Mike Joyner of Virginia; sisters, Margie Jones of Rocky Mount, Brenda Brown of Nashville, Betty Outlaw of Nevada, JoAnn Raper of Kenly, Vickie Williams of Virginia and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Griffin, Larel Griffin and sister, Kathy Denton. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Cornerstone Funeral Home from 6-8:00 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the funeral home with Sister Gina House and Brother Keith Pittman officiating. Burial will follow at Red Oak Cemetery.
