Burt, Charles "Ted" Thaddeus

Charles 'Ted' Thaddeus Burt of Naperville Illinois passed away Saturday August 28, 2021. His wife and children were with him when he passed away peacefully. Ted was born March 3, 1945 at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck NJ. He is predeceased by his parents Charles and Charlotte Burt and sister Jane Burt. Ted and his much-loved wife Virginia were married November 8, 1969 at St Andrew's Catholic Church in Westwood NJ. Beloved father of Christopher Burt (Tieu-My Nguyen) of San Marino CA and Susan Burt of Lisle IL. Cherished grandfather of Clive and Milena Burt. Ted graduated from Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell NJ, class of 1963. He attended the University of Villanova majoring in Political Science with a minor in English. He also played basketball for the Villanova Wildcats freshman year. He graduated class of 1967. After graduating college, Ted worked for Oscar Mayer that took him and his family to California, Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee and his last move to Illinois as a Regional Sales Manager and Director of Corporate Accounts. Ted enjoyed life: fishing on his boat, playing golf, watching baseball (Dodgers) and basketball, listening to music, gardening and performing card tricks. Above all he was a Man of God who loved his family. "Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." Matthew 25:21 Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse or The Salvation Army. Memorial Visitation: Saturday, September 25th 2:00-5:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540.
