Briscoe, Jr., Charles J. age 73, of Schererville, IN and formerly of Lansing, IL passed away Saturday September 19, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Ruby (nee McLean). Beloved father of six children: Charles III, Joseph (Heather), Linda (Pat) Ryan, Mary (Terry) Jansma, Carol (Don) Green and Cathy (Bill) Evenhouse. Mother; Lucille Briscoe, brothers; late Peter (Joyce) and Tom (Cathy), sister; Janet (John) Staib, grandchildren; CJ, Paige, Brooke, Logan, Emma, Noah, Candice and the late Annika, great-granddaughter; McKayla, daughter-in-law; Nancy Frazier-Briscoe, beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, dog; "Ozzie". He is preceded in death by his father: Charles J. Briscoe Sr. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday September 22, 2009 at 8:30 AM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL going to St. Ann Church, 3010 Ridge Rd. Lansing, IL for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM. Interment will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Friends may visit with the family on Monday September 21, 2009 from 3 to 9 PM at the funeral home. Charles was a member of the Lansing Knights of Columbus Council 3540. Charles never stopped being, never stopped caring, never stopped loving and never stopped giving.
