Cathy, I miss you so much. We were best friends in high school and beyond then I married and moved away. We got together when we came back but you had children and I didn´t, unfortunately. I was there when you had Tony. Tony, you were so cute! My condolences to the Family. I will always love and remember Cathy.

Sally, I am so sorry to hear about Cathy. I have been trying to locate her for a long time. We were friends since high school and I moved to South Carolina and stayed in contact for a while and then we lost each other. My maiden name was Judy Osborn and married name was Harrington. I have even tried to contact the children but couldn't find anyone. I am really saddened to find her on facebook like this. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Sally and family, I am so saddened by Cathy's passing. I remember how she tagged along with Sally's friends during our high school years...so quick and clever. I was delighted to see her again a few years ago...still bright and funny. May all of your loving memories comfort you. Special blessings to you, Sally, for your loving care of Cathy, your sister and best friend.

I was so saddened to find out about the passing of some very good friends Mother. Lisa, we were close in grade school for many years and coming over to your house was always fun....your Mom was so wonderful! She was so kind to me and treated me like one of her own, so easy to talk to. Joe, you were my sister Beth's age but we too had a bit of a friendship and again I saw how your Mom loved her family. Tony, you and I hung out more in our 20's, during some very fun years! Knowing you guys and Maggie and Cate shows just how great of a family you are. Your Mom was very blessed with not only you all but your children and families...although I haven't seen you in many years I am sure they have been loving, memory filled years that you all will cherish forever. God bless you all, the entire family. Know there are many people sending you love and prayers, even though you are not in touch with them! That's how great of a woman your Mom was, to have so many old friends send their thoughts. Peace to you all.

To My Family,
I was saddened to learn of the passing of Aunt Cathy. I knew of her illness from Scott and he kept me aware of her health issues. I am so sorry that I cannot be there but know that you all are in my prayers and I love you. I am so grateful that Aunt Sue, Aunt Sally and Aunt Cathy stopped by Kansas City this summer and I was able to see her and give her a hug and tell her I loved her. She will be greatly missed.
We love you all,
Steve, Suzanne, James & Amanda

It was an honor knowing Cathy growing up in the neighborhood with Lisa, working with her in the Chicago Public Schools and she was a friend to my mother. Cathy was like a second mom to many of us growing up on Windsor Ave., her door was always open and she often offered help or advice when needed. My deepest condolences to the Strack & Cortese family.

Cathy, my dear friend, you are missed. You always amazed me with your hearty laugh and self-determination even in difficult times. We certainly had fun times and now you can rest quietly knowing you were loved. You raised a wonderful family that you loved so dearly and were always there for them, giving so much of yourself to them. Slainte, my old friend! Go mbeannaí Dia duit.
