I am so sorry for the loss of Miss Hudek. She was a wonderful woman and i can truely say she saved not only my life but my daughters life. I met her when i was a senior in highschool i was in the process of hiding my pregnancy from EVERYONE. I WAS 5 OR 6 MONTHS PREGNANT WHEN I CAME TO HER AND I HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO DO. THE ONLY PERSON WHO KNEW I WAS PREGNANT WAS THE FATHER OF MY CHILD. I WAS DEPRESSED AND WAS STUCK. SHE WAS THE SECOND PERSON I TOLD AND SHE WAS MY EMOTIONAL SUPPORT. SHE ALSO HELPED ME TELL MY MOTHER AND RELIEVED A HUGE LOAD OFF MY BACK. BEFORE I CAME TO HER I WAS UNSTABLE AND MIGHT HAVE ENDED UP HURTING MYSELF. I COULD NEVER THANK HER ENOUGH FOR ALL SHE DID FOR ME. MY HEART HURTS FOR HER AND HER FAMILY.
SHE WAS TOO PRECIOUS FOR THIS EARTH.

To the Hudek and Chiuso Families
I was at Loyola with Carrie. We got our Master's together, we did our group research project together. I loved her like a sister. I just cannot understand this horrific tragedy. My life will never be the same. Eventhough we had lost touch there was comfort in that people like Carrie existed. I am heart broken.

My daughter is a student at HF. She remembers seeing Carrie during lunch period, always smiling and conversing with the students. She never acted superior, she was always a mentor and a friend. She touched more lives than you can imagine. To her family my deepest heart felt condolenses. I am so sorry for your loss. Please know the family of humankind embraces you. We share your pain, in a way, I wish we could absorb some of it. Please know you are always in our prayers and thoughts. May God bless and keep you in his loving embrace.

To the Family Of Carrie,
I am so sorry for your tragic loss. May God comfort you during this most difficult time.
-----------------------------
I can not find the words to say
Exactly how I feel.
That truly describes the hurt inside,
For I know your pain is so real.
Your heart, so heavy, with so much pain,
for the empty loss inside.
The tears fall down like falling rain
That never seems to subside.
It's very hard to say "goodbye",
To the one you loved so much.
But if you go to God in prayer,
You'll feel His sense of touch.
Think of your sorrows calmly,
when daylight turns to night.
Go tell it all to Jesus,
For He will make it right.
He's always there to listen,
When your grief, to Him, you give.
You'll feel the burden lifted,
And again, your life you'll live.

I knew Carrie for 2 years in the mid 90s and she was one of the most sweet, fun, happy and life changing people I have ever met. To the Hudek and Chuiso Families:
I'd like to give you all my sincerest condolences. I knew Carrie through the H-F Golf Team when we played on it together in high school. She was a warm, funny and kind person, even at that young age, and I have many fond (and funny) memories of her. It is no surprise to me that Carrie dedicated her career to helping others, and that she was loved and valued by so many. I'm so truly sorry for your pain and your loss -- you all continue to remain in my thoughts.
Bless you, Carrie.

Dear Family of Carrie,
I have been thinking about what Carrie has given to this world in her few short years here on earth, and two words come to mind, passion and compassion.
Carrie was passionate about her family and friends, and her career. These were the focal points of her existence. All who were fortunate to have known Carrie, feel blessed that we have been the recipients of her passionate verve for life.
The other character that Carrie possessed was compassion. Many have been the recipient of her compassion.
The students that she counseled have known all to well, that Carrie had so much compassion for them, we have witnessed this in the last couple of days, and you can rest assured that this will be evident for a long time to come. We have all witnessed her love of her job, and her commitment to her HF students, and her co-workers.
Carrie's legacy of her concern for her students, will live on in the memory of those that will continue to be affected by the compassion that they saw in Carrie, as she did her best to change the lives of those who she cared for.
My hope is that we can all just make a little bit of change in this world, in Carrie's honor.
Carrie will be sorely missed.

I am so saddened by this senseless act...I wish I could find the words to help diminish your pain. Carrie has been in our prayers. I never knew her. I just happened to be driving south on Harlem that morning, clueless as to why squads were coming up behind me with their emergency lights activated. I am a former law enforcement officer who moved to Frankfort to be further away from the city. I now find myself afraid to venture back to Petsmart where I was at only a week before to buy my nephew a Guinea Pig. My heart goes out to you and your family. I will continue to pray for Carrie and have faith that God will help the police find the right path in capturing the person responsible. With deepest sympathy....

I haven't talked to Carrie in a number of years and cannot even begin to describe how heartbroken I am to find she has left us. She was one of the best friends I have ever had and saying that she has impacted my life in a tremendous way is a severe understatement. We lived together for a number of years in Champagne and I am very sad that we lost touch. Even though we hadn't spoken in some time I thought of her often. Tony - I've never met you and I am SO SO sorry for your loss. I can at least be happy knowing that she found her prince and I'm sure that you made the past few years the happiest of her life. Mr and Mrs Hudek - your daughter was one of the most beautiful souls I have ever known and know that she hasn't left but will be with you and watching over you in this unbelievably difficult time. I will NEVER forget her and her contagious laugh, her infectious spirit, and her giving nature. You did good with that one!! :) Carrie touched and enriched anyone's life she came in contact with and she definitely made this world a much better place. I am very sorry to have found this tragedy out too late to attend her services. I'm just sorry that this is the only way I can contact you and give my condolences. My thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy are with you all and please know that I love you both and am here if you need anything at all.
