Carolyn Wright Obituary

Carolyn Sue Wright, 66 OCEANSIDE -- Carolyn Sue Wright was born September 3, 1943 on a rural farm in Seneca, Missouri. The saints welcomed her on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the age of 66. Carolyn was the youngest of seven children born to Amon William Grant and Cleo Nell Grant. When she came to California in the early 1960's, she became a successful business owner in her community. She was a lover of Jesus and an active member at the Lancaster Church of Christ. She moved to Oceanside, Calif., in 1993, where she lived with her oldest son, Burt and his family. Carolyn was a very artistic person. She was always making something colorful for one of her children or grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Burt Wright of Oceanside, Calif., Matthew Wright of Smithfield, Va., Tina Lock of Clovis, Calif., and Leandra Wright of Mesa, Ariz. She was a proud grandmother of eleven grandchildren, Shanna, Courtney, Brian, James, Brett, Scott, Amanda, Joshua, Brittany, Travis, Selah; and one great- grandchild, Lily. Memorial Services will be held for Carolyn on Saturday, October 3, at the Melrose Church of Christ in Vista, California at 1:00pm. The family will be receiving guests immediately following the service until 4pm at 713 South Melrose Drive, Vista, Calif. 92081. Those who wish to leave their condolences may do so on the following website: www.falconerfuneralhome.com. A special thank you to Leandra and Burt for their diligence during this painful time. Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
