Goodman, Carol C. longtime resident of Skokie, after a long illness. Cherished husband of Miriam (nee Gutman), loving and devoted father of Howard (Ellen), Susan (Jim Wessler) and Barbara (Seth) Weinberger; adoring grandpa of his beloved "Chiefs": Danielle, Josh, Ian, Ben, and Mia and of Rachel (Tal) Mazor and Mike Warady; great-grandfather of Logan. Friend and inspiration to many and admired by all. Born in Chicago, Carol graduated Roosevelt High School and attended the University of Illinois until serving in the Army in World War II. After the War, he worked in advertising, becoming an executive at Chicago Display Company. He was an avid reader, tennis player, Northwestern Wildcat Football Fan and life long learner; at 62, he earned a master's degree in political science at Northeastern Illinois University. Services Thursday, 1 p.m. at The Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation, 303 Dodge, Evanston, IL, 60202. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
