Camille Gertz Obituary

Gertz, Camille B. (nee Eschenbach), 94, a lifetime Chicago resident, made her earthly transition on December 8th, 2006. Beloved wife and traveling companion of 54 years of the late Erwin A. H. Gertz, loving mother of Dr. Thomas Erwin Gertz, predeceased by her father and mother, George and Camille (nee Sidlo) Eschenbach, and her sister, Eleanor Ann Eschenbach. Surviving in addition to her son are close friends, Reg and Chris Roger and their family, special niece, Lois Bargar, her sisters-in-law, Camille MacManus and Charlotte (late Carl) Gertz, nieces and nephews. Per Camille's wishes, following cremation, burial of her ashes will be in the family plot at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL, at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to Chicago Lighthouse, 1850 W. Roosevelt Rd., Chicago, IL, 60608. Arrangements by: Cremation Society of Illinois, 773-281-5058.

She was a delightful lady. An example of a life well lived. Such enthusiastic tales of travels!
