Bruno DeMaertelaere Obituary

My thoughts and prayers for Bruno and his family continue. May the Lord bless and keep you all.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,

I apologize for not hearing of this sooner. Your father was a person who was pure of heart that always meant well. He was passionate about many things in life. I will always remember sitting with him listening to a classical concert he had recorded on a mini-recorder.

My family and I offer our condolences to you and your entire family. May you always treasure your memories of your loving Father.

Guy, my prayers are with you and your family

Our deepest condolences to the entire family. Bruno was a very special person. It is impossible to share a house with a person for six years and not carry away many fine and fond memories. He will be truly missed.

My condolences to the DeMaertelaere family.Bruno and I were in ROTC at Loyola and were commissioned together in 1956.Several years ago we met up again in Washington D. C. during the U. S. Supreme Court admissions of one of his sons and I beleive his brother. It was great meeting up with my old pal who after 50 yearsappeared to be his old dynamic self. From reading these many tributes it's clear Bruno was loved and respected by his many friends and military associates and will be missed.

Bruno and I were brother officers in the 308th CA GP in the 1970's. He was a dedicated and loyal officer and friend. He will be missed by his military associates. May God grant special blessings to his family at this time, especially his children whom he spoke about and loved very much.

I served for a number of years with Bruno in the 308th Civil Affairs Group (now Brigade) and thereafter with him in local chapters of the Reserve Officers Association and the Military Order of World Wars. He was always active in his membership and tenacious in performing his duties. He was a unique individual and will reside in my prayers.
