Bruce Mytys Obituary

I remember Mr. Mytys always being there to drive us to all the Sunday afternoon basketball games when we were in grammer school. The white Mercury was always on time and waiting where it should be. I can still picture he and Mrs. Mytys sitting loyally at all of Bruce's games at Fenwick. He and Mrs. Mytys were great parents, not only to Bruce and Toddy, but to all of us who happened to have had the pleasure of growing up knowing both of them.

I'll always be thankful for having known Bruce and Trudy Mytys. They were like family to me and my family. I spent countless hours at their house eating ice cream while watching Uncle Johnny Coons or playing games on their living room carpet or playing pinball in their basement or just eating Popsicles on their front porch. I know, too, that Mr. Mytys cared about the kids from the "hood" (the 1700 block on 75th Ct.) and wished them the best. His passing marks the end of an era for me.
