I met Mrs. Blanche Scruggs in 1946, when my family moved in next door to her residence on Johnson Street. She was a meticulous gardener, horticulturist, even had a fish pond in her back yard. She was a wonderful, resourceful, and articulate woman, a good wife to Hubert and mother to David and, earlier to Hubert, Jr. David, Ginger, we are sorry to hear that she has passed, but, she led a long and productive life. Best wishes, Jim & Kathryn.
