I just learned of Bijan's passing. My deepest condolences to his family and many friends.
I worked at SET my first 5 years out of college and had the pleasure of working closely with him. I learned a tremendous amount from him, of chemistry and of life. His fatherly mentoring left a mark on me and on my life.
I'm so sorry for your loss

I have worked with Bijan for over 28 years at SET Environmental. He taught me everything I know about hazardous waste chemistry. He was one of the most amazing chemists, I know. He would not just give you an answer to your chemistry question, he would tell you how he came up with the answer. He was a teacher, a mentor to many of us at SET. He loved to solve problems, especially environmental waste or complex chemical related issues. He loved to talk about his family, and was very proud of his boys.
He will be greatly missed as a friend, as well as a colleague.
