Betty Reed Obituary

Reed, Betty Laugherty-- age 77, of Knoxville, Passed away 12:40 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2004, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Member of St. John’s Cathedral. Retired from Hillcrest South Medical Nursing Institute where she worked in the dietary department.

Preceded in death by husband, Roy E. Reed, Jr.; father, Roy Laugherty; mother, Nancy Tillery Laugherty.

Survivors: daughter, Amy Sue Reed; son, Roy E. Reed, III; sister, Opal Turner, all of Knoxville; sister, Anna Mae Davis; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will meet 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Norris Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service and interment. Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Ave. at Broadway in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Reed’s guest book also available at www.stevensmortuaryinc.com.
