Betty Pope Obituary
Suffolk - Betty Cottle Pope, 81, passed away May 13, 2013. Born in Rocky Point, NC, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Eunice Cottle. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Edward Pope.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Pope; daughter, Betty Jo Drake and husband Randy of Suffolk, VA; son, Robert M. Pope and wife Jane of Prince George County, VA; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and special friends, Dave Freeman, Lou Marshall, Bernice Creekmore and family.
A memorial service will conducted at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St. Suffolk, VA 23434. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations may be made to Feed the Children, PO Box 36, Oklahoma City, OK 73101. Condolences may be registered at www.rwbakerfh.com.
