Aunt Betty,
You were there when I was born as with many of the Abbott clan. Thank you for also being there for both of my children as well. You were always so upbeat and positive and that's the Aunt Betty that I will always remember. Tell all the others that have passed before you I miss them terribly. Give Mom-Mom Marcy and Pop Wilmer a big kiss for me. Love to all...

I, like Joyce , was fortunate to have Betty as a mentor . She was never too busy to help and share her enthusiasm and knowledge in Maternity. Spunky, witty and kind is how I remember her. So sorry for her loss. Betty Fenton Leslie

Betty was a wonderful lady and a great nurse, Our families had ties that predated us both. I always think of her with affection and a smile. My thoughts are with her family.

Marcia and Suellen,
It is with great sorrow that I hear your sad news about Betty. Please pass my condolences to Charmaine, Jen, Kelly, Vickie, and Garrett. I am most regretfully unable to attend the service on Monday due to an all day commitment. Betty was a fierce protector of me as I began my career in L&D at age 19 in 1970 for which I am most greatful. She was wise, funny (like the time she confessed she knowlingly sent someone to school until the nurse sent you home with chicken pox or the "pinch" she used to encourage good behavior), extremely private to most (I feel honored to know about your family as you grew up-like the over the top Halloween decorations of Marcia being wrapped as a mummy and lying in the bay window)and the hardest working nurse I have seen. She mentored me with knowledge and her experience. She demonstrated a different view of situations and again the importance of FIERCELY protecting those about whom you care. I am very poor in maintaining relationships outside of work, that has been my loss. I am most grateful to have known your mother/grandmother.
Sincerely, Joyce Gregg Swisher
