Six years. Seems like yesterday. I miss you every day. I hope you can see how much Matt has grown. Until we meet again, Grandmama.

It's been 5 years. I still miss you. Our Matthew is a man and is someone to be proud of. We both remember you with love.

It's been 2 weeks now and I am still trying to call you everyday. We have talked for the last 45 years whether we were together or apart and it's a hard habit to break. I have noticed that you would always say "you go ahead and I'll wait for you" The reverse is going on now. You went ahead but I know that you will be waiting for me. I'm going to take my time in joining you but I will eventually get there.

I am truly saddened by the passing of your dear Mother and deeply touched by your memories of her. You are a true reflection of her beauty in every way and my thoughts, prayers and heart are with you. (I cannot help but add that my Mom too loved liver and onions so Heaven must have had a super party!) Barbara Davis - Arlington Heights

I said goodbye to you today. It was one of the hardest things I've had to do. You looked so peaceful as though you were napping and would sit up and say "What am I doing here?" I miss you and keep picking up the phone to call you.

It is only fitting that a visitation be held on Sunday for my Mom. She is the one that taught me to pray and introduced me to God. She prayed each night and taught me to do the same. She even told me that sometimes God says "no" just like any other parent.

Rest In Peace. I remember what a kind & wonderful person you were when I was very young.

I remember our last visit to Riverview. We went because we knew it was closing and had to make a last memory. You played some game and won a stuffed clown for me. The man at the booth let you have it even though you couldn't hit the target. I still have that clown as well as our memories of the chutes and the vehicle carousel. If there was an interesting place to go, we went setting the stage for our adventures with Matthew.

My Mother was very nervous about me having a baby as a Single Mom, until she saw the first ultra sound. Then she was in love. She was in the hospital all night and stayed with my coach and I until Matthew chose to join us. She has been with us ever since.

Mom, I miss you already and keep going to call you and tell you everything. You and I were best friends and I will always remember our adventures. You were my sidekick on all or western vacations. I know you are now happy and free of pain and know that you will watch over Matthew and I from now on.
