Bertha Gamble Obituary
Mrs. Gamble was born in Bridgeport, Ala., a daughter of the late Jonah and Oppie Cagle Vinson. She was a charter member of Unity Baptist Church and a former nursery keeper at Greenwood Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, O.J. Vinson and Dewey Vinson; and a sister, Frances Hurst.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Milton Dale Gamble Sr. of the home; sons, Milton (Sheila) Gamble Jr. and Freddy (Melissa) Gamble, both of Florence; daughter, Wanda (Bill) Harrell of Florence; grandchildren, Mandi Harrell (Tom) Zervos, Anna Gamble (Robert) Bryan, Laura Harrell, Emily Gamble (Jason) Staggs, Adam Gamble, Amy Gamble and Aaron Gamble; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Zervos, Jackson Zervos, Samantha Bryan, Jacey Staggs and Spencer Zervos; numerous stepbrothers, sisters, nieces and nephews of the Ferguson family.
Memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church, 2990 S. Pamplico Highway, Florence, SC 29505.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2009 in Unity Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

I was saddened to hear of your mother's passing. I know exactly how you feel. We lost Mama in mid Feburary, but I assure you the grief and pain does get better...a little each day.
