Bernice Bauer Obituary
Bauer, Bernice "Bea" (nee Chubin), age 80, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2009, beloved wife and best friend for 58 years of the late Dan; loving mother of Bonnie (Dr. Ira) Sender, Debra (Dr. Joel) Garbow, Dr. Michael (Sheryl) Bauer and Scott (Lauri) Bauer; devoted daughter of the late Adelle and Sol Chubin; cherished sister of Arlene (Jerry) Karel and the late Estelle Kerstein; dear sister-in-law of William (Marjorie) Bauer and the late Marilyn (late Martin) Kandel and Robert Bauer; adored and treasured "Nana" to 16 wonderful grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; proud aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews, and special friend to Jack Korzon. A true "Ayshet Chayil." Service Monday 1:30 p.m. at Congregation Beth Judea, 5304 RFD, Long Grove, IL 60047 (Route 83 & Hilltop Rd.). Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to North Shore Hadassah, 3000 Dundee Rd., Northbrook, IL 60062 or Cong. Beth Judea. From 2nd grade until 80, through our high school sorority (The Active Girls, or Theta Alpha Gamma!). You married Danny, my step-brother, and our lives intertwined, again.
You left much too early and suddenly. You were a Woman of Valor--and a dear friend.

Words can't express what I feel. Not only have you lost a wonderful Mom but I've lost a dear, dear friend. Wonderful memories will stay with all of us as we laugh and remember all the good times.
