I am sorry about the passing of Dr. Emanuel. He was my pediatrician for many years and he was always our favorite doctor from the practice. I wish I could have told him how much he meant to our family.

Your sons are good people,just couldn't imagine how cool you where.

We have a picture of Dr Emanuel. You will always remember. We saw him in Skokie last 2 years ago.

I actually didnt know Dr Emanuel passed away- he was my pediatrician growing up and I absolutely loved him

My condolences to the entire family. Dr. Emanuel was my kids (now 30 and 27 years old) pediatrician. He was always so kind and caring. I saw him a few years ago at a restaurant and was lucky enough to be able to tell him how much I appreciated him.

I have many fond memories of all the Locust Road shenanigans with Rahm, Ari and many neighbors and friends. Having lost touch with Doctor Emanuel over 40 years ago, I was elated to see him at a mutual friend's wedding less than three years ago. He was clear of mind, jocular and the true gentleman I recall him being so many years ago. Our condolences to many loved ones, friends, former patients and all who had the privilege of knowing this fine gentleman.

I am a Member of Sixth Grace Presbyterian Church, 600 East 35th Street, Chicago, Illinois 60616. Reverend Dr. David B. Thornton is the Pastor, as of 2014. I am also A former Member of Church Musician Ship Guild, Inc. (1988-2018). Which was founded in "1984", by the late pianist, singer, author, editor, and WRITER Dr. Mildred G. Lewis.
I was first their Administrative Assistance, and then I became their Executive secretary, and public relations director.

I met Dr Emanuel at Arnie Grant's family dinners. Ben was interesting, funny and full of life. I only met him a few times but I really enjoyed our dinnertime conversations. Just know that he touched other people's lives and made a difference. My sincerest condolences to Marsha and the rest of his family.

Dr. Emanuel was our children's pediatrician. Our daughter, now 47, was ill with stomach issues when she was 2 years old. Dr. Emanuel was calm and reassuring during her illness. She recovered completely after several months and saw Dr. Emanuel only for routine pediatric visits. Fast forward about 20 years when I saw Dr. Emanuel in a store and went up to greet him. He looked at me and said, how is your child and how is the stomach? He not only recognized me but he remembered the situation he treated. That was the kind of Dr. he was- a role model for all physicians.

Dr. Emanuel was always caring and attentive. He made an important diagnosis on my then five-year-old daughter. He was a wonderful pediatrician. My six children all have very fond memories of him.

Dr. Emanuel was our pediatrician for our four children.Had the pleasure of working with him at Edgewater Hospital. What a fantastic person. So lucky that we shared many years with him and miss him dearly.

The end of an era, a wonderful doctor and person who will be sorely missed. Dr. Emanuel saw my children for over 20 years and even after that took my calls if I had any questions when they were away at school. He was equally important to the parents and the children

Dr. Emanuel was my pediatrician all the way through college. I can remember calling from Iowa to explain symptoms over the phone. He was warm and always made time. He will be greatly missed.

Dr Emanuel was a kind, caring physician who was also a brilliant diagnostician. He diagnosed my then 5 yr old son just by being suspicious of 3 pinpoint marks on his thigh - leukemia. He stayed with us during the 3+ years of chemotherapy, checking in when we were in hospital. I am forever thankful to him. His calm, wise nature has remained with me for 30 years! Rest In Peace!

Dr. Emanuel was my sons' pediatrician, a warm, caring mensch, a physician of the highest skill. We were fortunate to know him.

I met Dr. Emanuel when my first child was born. He came to my room at the hospital, sat at the foot of my bed and told me to call him any time of day or night whenever I had a question, regardless what it was. And he always answered my calls ! He was always there for my four children, warm, kind, funny.
He will be missed by all who were lucky to have known him. May he rest in peace.

So sorry for your loss. I will miss you so much. We saw Dr. Emanuel in Skokie by this summer and last year, too. We haven't seen him for over four decades since I was born. He taken care of me. So there he is. We a nice surprise to see my old doctor. We ate breakfast with him. You will be missed! May rest in the peace forever.

I knew Ben at Mount Sinai in the late 50's and early 60's. When my children were born he became their doctor. He encouraged me to learn about research when he was collecting data on the blood chemistry of children. When he started the process of dialysis treatment, I learned about this new treatment. May the memories of the good times help you through this time.

Our family was very fond of the Emanuel family during the time when my mother worked in the Gollin Weiss Emanuel Aronson Nachman Pediatric practice and beyond. Ben certainly kept life in the office exciting and full of energy. Dr. & Mrs. Emanuel were very kind to my sisters and me after our mother died. May his memory be for a blessing.
