Smith, Atty. Benito Harrison age 89, WWII Veteran, Tuskegee Airman, beloved husband of Virginia (nee Johnson), dear father of Rodney, Sandra and Steven; loving grandfather of Kyle, Kia and Cheyenne; brother Theodore and sister-in-law Christina; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity (Iota Chapter) and "Dodo" Chapter of the Tuskegee Airman Inc. He was a graduate of McCosh Elementary School, Englewood High School, Chicago Teacher's College and John Marshall Law School. Benito was a dedicated teacher for twenty-two yeas and joined the Law Department of Chicago Public Schools in 1970. He departed his life on January 12, 2007, quietly in his sleep. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. with a Funeral at 11 a.m. on January 20, at Salem Lutheran Church, 318 East 74th Street, Chicago. Interment at Oakwoods Cemetery. For Info., A.A.
