Mary & Patrick, I just wanted you to know what a great lady your Mom was. I got to know her well, as I sat right in front of her for 25 years at Sox Park. Besides being able to explain and/or discuss anything baseball related, she became well acquainted with me and most of my family over the years. I will miss the talks that we had, those debates that she and Judge Fitz would have during the games, and her love of Notre Dame. She was wonderful to talk with,and to be with, all those years at the ballpark. I really don't know how I'm gonna feel, when I look behind my left shoulder to ask her a question, and she's not there. Who will take care of the box scores for the White Sox? Your mother was a lovely and wonderful woman. I had the pleasure of meeting her through the Saint Mary's College alumnae network. My prayers go out to you.

Mary and Patrick, my condolences on the loss of your mother. Barbara was such a great woman. When I worked in development on the south-side she was always willing to help me with advice, offered good counsel and she was a generous benefactor to so many causes. I really enjoyed running into her at the Sox games. What a fan! I am sure that she is now enjoying her reunion with your father.
