Barbara Gorzkowski Obituary

I still think of beautiful Barbara. Miss her.

Barb's desk was where I went for a sympathetic ear, or help with my job. She always found time to assist. She was a friend and mentor to many, and she will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Barb at A&G. She was devoted to her mother and her job. I enjoyed her friendship and will miss her.

I had the pleasure of knowing Barb when we worked together at A&G. She was a very lovely lady with a great disposition and always a good word to say about everyone. I am really sorry to hear of her passing and will miss the oportunity to visit with her in the future.

Barbara was a person who brightened every life she touched. She always had such a peaceful air to her. Even on the most hurried of days, she was the calm one with that beautiful smile and kind word. She was dearly loved, and we will miss her very much.

I feel very lucky indeed to have had the opportunity to work with Barbara. She was one very fine human being. My thoughts are with her family as they cope with this loss.

I was stunned to hear of Barb's passing. I met Barb early in my career and her mentoring was a true gift. My prayers are with her family and friends.

I had the pleasure of working with Barb from 1981-1989, when I joined the many lawyers indebted to Barb for helping us learn how to navagate office life in a private practice. Her bearing always was a picture of grace under fire and she never was too busy to be kind. She did more than her part to make the world a more pleasant place.

I'm so sad and sorry to hear about Barbara's passing. I grew up across the street from her, but really didn't get to know her until I was 19 years old when I started commuting downtown. We met and got to know each other just riding the CTA together almost every morning and evening for the past 8 years. She was always very sweet and kind and interested in what was going on in my life. I've shared alot with Barbara just riding to and from work with her. Months could go by and we would not see eachother, but she always remembered where we left off. I will always remember Barbara for her kindness and for the love and support she gave so generously to her mother over the years. She will be greatly missed.

I was indeed saddened to learn of Barbara's passing. She was so very dedicated to her family and the care of her mother. She was truly dedicated in her job, extremely creative and responsive to everyone's needs, ever so pleasant with such a wonderful twinkle in her eyes. She will be missed by all and my deepest condolences to her family during this very difficult time.

I had the pleasure of meeting Barbara in 1988 and worked with her until 2001. May Barbara move peacefully through darkness into the light of change. May the light of Christ give you and your family peace at this time of transition.

Barbara had a smile that would light up a room. A positive and thoughtful individual. My prayers go out to her family & friends.

Barbara was first a costomer who loved my jewelry, she was always a dear. When she and Angie and Chris came over it was a pleasure to be together. She became a friend who I loved, and I will miss her, God Bless her wonderful soul, Fondly, Kathy

Barb was a wonderful person, the model for the completely competent adminstrator, with an insatiable curiosity about the world. The world is a lesser place for her passing.

I was so saddened to hear of Barbara's passing. I have not seen her since I worked with her at Altheimer & Gray, but she was one of the sweetest, nicest co-workers one could have. I really enjoyed her company. Barbara always had a smile and a wonderful disposition.



My deepest condolences.

I am deeply saddened at losing Barb. She and I have been friends for over 8 years and I feel truly blessed by having her in my life. She never stopped smiling and laughing and had the most beautiful twinkle in her eye. I am grateful that her passing was peaceful. I will miss her very much. She was a wonderful friend and confidant who never missed a chance to ask me about my son and dogs. She was always there to listen and always boosted my confidence with her never ending support. Barb was a special gift to many people. She will be missed.

I've had the pleasure to know & work with Barb for the better part of the last 14 years - her smile, positive & upbeat attitude is something I have always been grateful for. My thoughts & prayers are with her Mom & family.
