I would like to pass along my sympathy to Barb's family. She was the best! I always referred to her as "The Woman that ran McCormick Place" or "The brains of the outfit." She was a special person with that infectious smile. She will be missed.

I enjoyed traveling with Barbara to the Abbey for the Polka weekend trips. She was a great person to be around and her laughter filled a room with happiness. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time. Rest in peace, Barbara and enjoy that music in Heaven.

What I remember most about Barbara was her ability to get you to the General Manager of McCormick Place - or just get your questions answered. (She often knew what was going on first!) She also knew and had great relationships with all of the big convention customers of McCormick Place and was a part of keeping them happy. She was truly one of the unsung Chicago Ambassadors this City is so fortunate to have.

It was such a pleasure praying and working with Barb. She was of great assistance to me when I worked as Choir Director at St. Barbara, always there to lend a helping hand, give an encouraging word, but most of all just to smile and brighten up a room. Barb will be missed deeply. Peace, Grace and Love to her family, friends and St. Barbara Family.
