I am a high school friend of Barb's who was so glad that we recently re-kindled our friendship in time to say how much we loved each other. Her ability to laugh at life's insanity was so infectious. She will be missed by many.

Barbara was a great leader, visonary and mentor. She and I worked together at Central DuPage Hospital and she influenced my career in many ways. Her time and patience with a young person and her commitment to share her experiences and her knowledge was incredible. She forever changed my path and I am grateful for her efforts. I will pay it forward and continue her legacy. She was a force to be reckoned with and a strong female role model.

Please know that you touched many lives.

So, God Bless you, dear Barbara, for you are truly one of a kind.
Your family and friends know they have in you, a rare and precious find.
Your patience, sense of humor, sacrifices and unconditional love through each year,
Have blossomed and grown within your children and grandsons, and everyone here.
How we love you and will miss you - of this there is no doubt,
For you showed us, on every single day, what love is all about.

You will remain a part of my heart forever, Dear Barb.

Barb was truly one of a kind. She was one of those people, no matter how long it had been since I'd last seen her, we could always pick right up from where we left off, usually laughing. I'll miss her and I'll remember her fondly.
