Chris & Kathy,

I was a student of Barbara's from about 1995-1997. She inspired me to as well as helped me get into the School of the Art Institute. I have since moved to New York, but a painting she gave to me still hangs on my wall. I am deeply saddened by the loss of this amazing woman, whose work and memory still inspire me today. Please accept my sympathy for your loss.

Many kind thoughts,

Stephanie Benard

To the Cada Family,

My husband Dennis, my daughter Stephanie and I would like to offer our sincere condolences on the death of your mother. As is the case with many young people in our area, Barbara gave Stephanie private art lessons from about 1994-1996. During that time she became much more than a friend to our daughter and we valued her as a truly extraordinary human being. We are sure that a part of her spirit will live on in each of the people she touched during her amazing lifetime. We were priveleged to have known her.

Chris and Kathy,

We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. Even though we have known her for a short amount of time, Barbara's unique spirit made a lasting impression on our family. She will be truly missed.
