Dear Resa, Ginny,Kitty, and entire Burns Family,

You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Your Mother was exceptional, I'm sure. Resa sang her praises last summer at Leone Swim Camp. I remember Ginny from St. Scholastica--and Opus Dei? And Kitty, you were a good friend of my sister Mary Fran (who died at age 21). God bless each of you through this difficult time.

Fondly,

Ellen O'Reilly-Garcia and Family

Dear Burns Family,

My sincere condolences to all of you. Your Mom and Dad were great friends to my parents. I have many fond memories playing with Resa, Mary Cay, Rosemary and Sharon at the many family gatherings on Chase Ave. It was the one place where nine more children were truely embraced and welcomed. It was nice to hear so many nice things said about your Mother. I wish all of you peaceful and warm thoughts during this time. Sincerely,

Jane Warda (nee Rasmussen)

Dear Burns Family,

My children knew some of you at Field School and my husband and I met your mother over the years at various Rogers Park activities. She was always spoken of with admiration and respect, not only because of so many children, but because of how well brought up you all were and how she handled herself with such aplomb. My condolences. Lenore Reif

Dear family of Deni (Barbara),Deni was a brave woman. Our group of friends from St. Gregory High are so lucky to have known her. Even better a lot of us were together several times during the past few years to laugh over old times. Tom has surely welcomed Deni with open arms. May your mom and dad always have their arms around you. Love and prayers, Ozzie (Marylyn Osterkorn Ahlfeld '49er)

On behalf of my mother Mary Regina Ganey and myself I would like to extend our condolences to all of you. I attended St. Jeromes with Kathy and have fond memories of the Burns family.

Paul Mesirow

May 5, 2003

My deepest sympathies to the Burns and Bremner families, as I was a neighbor (with my parents) of Barb and Tom in Rogers Park almost 30 years ago. I lived at 1513 Chase, an apartment building that adjoined the two homes belonging to the Burns family. I fondly remember the dinner bell that rang to summon the next "shift" of children for dinner. With a brood that size, shifts were necessary. My best wishes for your solace and comfort in the days ahead.

Well, Deni, the good news is that you and Tommy are together again.

Love,
