Mary, I offer you my condolences on the loss of your father. He was a very kind man who had a strong life force to be able to overcome so much adversity in recent years. I remember that my grandmother was very fond of him. He made her feel welcome at family gatherings on holidays and other special occasions.

To Mary and the entire Gibbons family:

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and we pray for eternal rest for Austin. He was a great man and we loved him and enjoyed his company. It was always nice to see Austin on our summer visits to Chicago. He always had a wink, a nod and a firm handshake to greet us. We had fun hearing his stories of wartime England last summer and enjoyed his impromptu Irish jig the summer before. We are also especially lucky to have several beautiful trees in our backyard that Austin helped us to plant when you all were in California for vacation. The trees bloom nicely each spring and always make us remember Austin and the help he lent in planting them and the fun he seemed to have in doing it. We will miss Austin. God bless him and all of you.
