Aurelia Husnik Obituary

Husnik, Aurelia E. "Rae" (nee Matys) Age 88, of Frankfort, formerly of Chicago and Westmont, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at Lemont Center in Lemont. Former wife of the late Edwin Husnik; loving mother of Christine (Gregory) Murray, Marcia (Edward) Fatla and Elizabeth (Lyle) Dunahoo; grandmother of Melissa Fatla, the late Eric Fatla, Jessica Dunahoo, Matthew Dunahoo and Stephen Dunahoo; loving aunt of three. Preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Helen Matys; brother, Walter (Anna) Matys. She was a Chicago Public Schoolteacher for 25 years at Eli Whitney Elementary School. She often dwelled on the joy and wonder and frustration of the job, but the loving rewards bestowed on her by her "children," both natural and temporary, made it all wonderful. Family will receive friends on Monday, October 5, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423. Funeral Service Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
