Uncle August was the ultimate example of generosity and kindness. He also had a strong and positive influence in our childhood.
He was our favorite uncle. When he and Aunt Nicla and Stevie and Maria-teresa would visit us in California, it was nothing but a bunch of laughter and fun. He and his sisters and brother made us proud of our italian heritage. Though time has passed since we last saw him, our love and fondness has not. He was one of a kind. He was so special. We will greatly miss him.

"Big Kahuna" was my nick name for Gus when it seemed impossible to complete a project, guess what, he would do it!! I learned many life skills from him and will miss him dearly.
Remembering holidays at Uncle Gus and Aunt Nicla's house in Bloomingdale were only a few of the wonderful memories that connected our love for Augustino!!
Gus was always wonderful to our family and cared about tradition and ethnic values - we always felt secure in knowing he was on "our side" in our journey in life - again we can't express how much he will be missed. Our condolences to Nicla, Steve, Maria Theresa and their families.

Love and God Bless, Neno and Elma
