Audrey Woods Obituary

STONINGTON – Audrey (Eaton) Jones Woods died peacefully at her Stonington home, surrounded by her children, Friday, May 17, 2002, at the age of 54, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Little Deer Isle, May 24, 1947, the daughter of Stanley W. Eaton and Marie (Hardy) Clough. She is survived by her five chil-dren, Lorie Jones-Hardy and her husband, Douglas Jr. of Deer Isle, Bobbi Ann (Jones) Billings and her husband, Dana of Deer Isle, William “Billy” Nutter and his wife, Mary of Stonington, Yvonne Nutter and her partner, Michael Torrey of Brooklin, and David Jones Jr. and his wife, Leslie of Stonington. In addition, she is survived by her 15 grandchildren, Sarah and Daryl Dunham, Jacob Hardy, Blake and Anne Billings, Ben Moriah and Rebekah Nutter, Tyler and Tyson Wardwell, Nikki and Lance Robbins, Cameron and Lucas Torrey, and Heith Oliver. Audrey has one sister, Edna Williams of Stonington and Florida; five broth-ers, Stanley “Sonny” Eaton, Lee Eaton, Sidney Eaton, Alfred “Bump” Eaton of Stonington, Alfred Clough of New Hampshire, and Donald Clough of North Carolina; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was prede-ceased by her father, Stanley Eaton; her best friend and sister, Elva G. Ames; granddaughter, Hannah Wardwell; and brother, Phillip Ea-ton. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Main St., Stonington, where funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, with Harry Vickerson officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Home Cemetery, Sedgwick. Gifts in memory of Au-drey may be sent to Hospice of Hancock County, 14 McKenzie Ave., Ellsworth, ME 04605.

I am so sorry for your loss and I'm truly sorry that I was not able to be with you all today, but I lost my nephew, Richard Nutter this morning and was in Bangor at the Eastern Maine Medical Center with family.
