Petrarca, Arthur N. age 78, lifetime resident of Chicago Heights, beloved husband of Aldona (nee Mitchell), dearest father of Pamela (Dennis) McSherry, Gay Lynn (Tom) Essig, Art (Julie) Petrarca and Michael (Diane) Petrarca, fond brother of Mary (late Tom) Bullaro, Mike (late Thelma) Petrarca and Albert (late Madelyn) Petrarca, loving grandfather of 12. Owner of Petrarca's Grocery Store in Chicago Heights. Employed for 20 years with State of Illinois Department of Transportation and Bloom Township Clerk for eight years. Past commander and treasurer for 19 years of Catholic War Veterans Post #1060. Member of American Legion Post #131; V.F.W. Post #2825 and Italian American Military Veterans. Member of St. Casimir Church, former St. Rocco Church and Infant Jesus of Prague. Visitation 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at Hirsch Funeral Homes, West End Chapel, Lincoln Highway & Otto Blvd., Chicago Heights. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Monday at Infant Jesus of Prague Church, Flossmoor Road and Douglas Avenue, Flossmoor. Interment Homewood Memorial Gardens, Homewood. Memorials may be made to Illinois Veterans Home, Manteno, IL 60950 or Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk, 4709 Golf Road, Suite #1015, Skokie, IL 60076.
