I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Lt. Bischoff! Art Bischoff, was one of the greatest bosses on the Chicago Police Department!! I worked for him in the 12th District, and again in the 22nd District, before he retired. A more kind, honest, fair man, with a wonderful sense of humor, could not be found anywhere! He left us all with many wonderful memories. I feel so privileged to have crossed his path in life..... truly one of "Chicago's Finest"! He surely will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him! God bless you, Art, and give comfort to your family. I know they must be heart-broken to lose you. You were the best!!
Sincerely,
Jim Brown

My condolences to the Bischoff family on the loss of a wonderful man. I will miss driving by the house and seeing Art tinkering with the lawn! No matter what he was doing, he was never too busy to smile and waive as our paths crossed. Art was one of the few, true gentlemen I've ever met, and he will be sorely missed.

Dear Aunt Lorraine and family: I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Bob. For me, the word that best describes him is "gentleman". When he was talking to you you always knew that he was interested in what you had to say or were doing. He was an inspiration to all. May God bless you. Love, Gerry

Lorraine and Family,
Please accept our heartfelt sympahthy. You know we thought highly of Art. He never passed up an opportunity to ask about the girls. His kindness and concern (especially when it came to children) always touched us. Knowing that we will have one more angel watching over us is of little comfort right now but just think of all the stories he'll have for us when we meet again.
