Scott,
I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. May the love of family and friends, along with cherished memories, comfort you during this time.
My sympathies and thoughts are with you.

In my deepest respect for my God-mother and her family, I truely share your sorrow and your loss. Her wit, humor and laughter will be missed. However, we can all recall many good times together. I recall the many basement parties @ Main street, Niles... or the Lake parties with Uncle Tim, Gert, WIllie, Denis,Lester, Geraldine, the entire clan and, of course, the "Sawatski sign" which always hung prominantly. "OK, now the family party can begin."
As I sit here now, I remember riding my bicycle from River Grove to Niles just to drop off some chocolate covered peanuts & say Hello! SO, she promptly called my mother & then Aunt Gert. That was Arlene. And, that is why I am Johnny-Boy.
We are all diminished by her passing. But, I am a much better person because of her.
Aloha, Arlene, my prayers are with you and family.

I very much regret that I am out of town and will not be able to attend the services. I wish I could be there to express my deepest condolences to the entire family.
I have nothing but the fondest memories of growing up around the Kane family. Mrs. and Mr. Kane always treated me with kindness and generosity.
