Dear Pat and Family:

I was saddened and shocked at the news of Tony's passing.

Recentl y, my wife and I shared a plane ride to Orlando, Fl. with Tony (by coincidence)for a natioanl school board convention. I was also able to spend some time with him attending seminars and a lunch or two. This was the first time I had ever had any unofficial social contact with him, although I had competed with him in the pool leagues for several years.

What really has struck me concerning Tony, is how much a real human being he was...what you see is what he was. No hidden agendas, no political correctness. Ask him a question and he told he what he thought. I have a great deal of respect for that.

And the other thing I will remember about Tony, besides how important his family was to him, was the positive outlook he had on life and his various businesses he has owned over the years.

He would always focus on the positives and seldom dwell on the negative aspects of a particular situation. We need more positive people in the world like Tony.

I regret that I was unable to attend the services for Tony, having found out about his passing at too late a date. I wish you and your family my deepest condolences during your time of grief and I wanted you to know that Tony's life touched me in a positive way.

We all have lost a good friend.
