Annie Freeman Obituary

Annie Laura Freeman, 87, of Bolivia, N.C. and formerly of High Point, passed away on July 23, 2009. She was born Feb. 4, 1922 in Stanly County to Lock Dean Herlocker and Alice Hatley Herlocker. Mrs. Freeman was Licensed Practical Nurse and had been employed at Community General Hospital in Thomasville. Mrs. Freeman was a member of Albertson Road Baptist Church in High Point and after moving to Bolivia joined First Baptist Church of Sunset Harbor. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by a son, John Clifford Freeman, and brothers and sisters, Irene Herlocker, Daniel Grover Herlocker, Auda Herlocker Litaker, Mary Ella Herlocker Yeates Miller, Minnie Belle Herlocker Grubb, Levne J. Herlocker Smith, Bessie Lee Herlocker Smith and Samuel Dean Herlocker. Surviving are two granddaughters, Pam Freeman Nance and husband, Randy of Lexington and Paula Freeman Lawrence and husband, Mike of High Point; three great-grandchildren, Jennifer Swinson, Jonathon Hill and Kristin Buie; a great-great-grandchild, Jayden Barker; numerous nieces and nephews and Mrs. Freeman's beloved cat, Prissy. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Floral Garden Memorial Park. The family will greet friends following the service. Arrangements are by Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point.
