Dear Terry and Family,
I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved mother, Nettie. I went to the U of I with you, Terry, and even though I haven't seen or talked to you in over 30 years I will never forget our special friendship. I shared Mother's Day celebrations with you and your mom and I remember what a lovely lady she was, so much fun and so warm. My deepest sympathy to you and all her loved ones. Very sincerely,
Carol "Ruben" Clark

Dear Kathy & Family,
I am truly sorry for the loss of your mother. She was a true legend in my book. Someone I could always brag about. My Dad, Tom Keady,is very saddened by her passing as well. He would alway tell us stories about his cousin "Nettie". Although he told us the story about her being an Olympian 3,675 times, we enjoyed it each and every time. I too pass the stories to my children. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Sincerely,
Beth Flodstrom and Family

To the Kelly family,
We never met, but I grew up knowing your Mom. My mother was her teammate on the 1932 Olympic relay (Mary Carew). Their lives were very similar - what role models for us all. My condolences on your great loss.

Dear Kathy and Family,
My heart is broken, "Aunt Nettie" was one of the sweetest people I ever knew. I will miss her and the phone calls dearly. She was a very proud but very humble Champion, and a true role model. I will never forget her trip to Boston, and Bill Rogers rushing to his store to meet her.
She will always occupy a very special place in my heart.
Love, Joanne
