Anne Johnston Obituary

Johnston, Anne Blattner passed away Thursday, March 4, 2004, she was born December 31, 1900, and lived a full and exciting life of 103 years. Her husband, William H. "Bill" Johnston predeceased her. In 1933, she moved to Jacksonville, with her husband and family, where he started the Jacksonville Kennel Club. She is survived by her three children, Jule Johnston Howell (Donald) of Jacksonville, Mary Johnston Burnett of Kennebunk, Maine, and William H. Johnston Jr. (Jane) of Burr Ridge, IL. She is survived by her 12 grandchildren, John C. "Jack" Howell, Jill Howell Dunbar, Donald W. Howell Jr., Elizabeth Howell O'Donnell, Donna Burnett Clausen, William R. "Randy" Burnett, Terrance P. Burnett, Vincent R. Burnett, Anne Burnett Hidell, William H. Johnston III, John A. Johnston and Heather Jane Johnston, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass Monday, March 8th, 10 a.m., at St. Isaac Jogues Church, Fourth & Clay Sts., Hinsdale. Friends are asked to meet at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation c/o John Johnston, 915 S. Elm St., Hinsdale, IL, 60521. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
