Please accept my condolences on the passing of Mrs. Janiga. I am a former student of hers from St. Hyacinth and will always have such fond memories of her. She was my absolute favorite teacher and a truly beautiful person. She touched the lives of every student who was fortunate enough to know her. She will be greatly missed.

Sincerely,

Monica Ostrega

To all my Janiga cousins and their families,

I can't even begin to tell you how sorry I was to hear of your mother's passing. You have my and Larry's deepest sympathies. We were truly sorry to have missed the funeral, but we were in Texas visiting Larry's brother, and didn't get home until Monday evening. I know from my own experience how heartbreaking losing your mother can be, but I can visualize my Mom, your parents, our grandparents, and all the other aunts and uncles who are gone from us reuniting in heaven and looking down on all of us. Be happy for all the good times that you shared and even the sad times. Your mother's strength and faith helped all of us, and she was truly an inspiration to me. I will miss our telephone chats immensely. The last time I spoke to her was Sunday, April 24th, and our last words to each other were "I love you", followed by her usual Polish farewell. I'm not sure how to spell the polish words, but each time I hear that phrase I will think of her fondly.

God be with you all!!

Love,

Jeanne & Larry Knapp

Dear Janiga Family,

My deepest condolences at the loss of your mother.

I have the fondest memories of her and the nurturing presence she had for her family and that extended family of kids along Ridgeway Avenue. I will forever be grateful for the friendship and counsel she provided my mother in good times and bad. The St. Hyacinth neighborhood will miss her greatly, but her contributions to the parish, school and the neighborhood children will remain forever.

May God bless Mrs. Janiga’s soul for a life well done.
