Dear Zervakis Family:
I just heard about YiaYia 10 minutes ago when I checked my answering machine. I am visiting my brother in California, and am so sorry I won't be home to attend her services.
I know I only met her a few times, but she was always talked with me like we were old friends. She reminded me of my Busha, (great grandmother in Polish) and maybe that is why I felt a special closeness to her.
I loved when I would be over doing her hair in your basement, and she would tell some funny story about Errikos. Or when she would "yell" at him for something he did or said, she was so fiesty.
I am just so sorry to hear this news. She was a very special lady, and I will never forget some of the great advice she gave me.
I will never forget YiaYia, either.
Much love and prayers to all of you.
I think of all of you often.
Love to you YiaYia, thank you for your kindness.
Love Always...
Sandra
