Anna Parthen Obituary

Parthen, Anna Wilhelmina age 88, of Chicago, IL, passed away March 13, 2008, at Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville, TN. She was a longtime member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Chicago. Anna was born and raised in Germany, coming to this country in 1955. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Josef; parents, Gustav and Anna Kunte and brother, Harry Prautsch. Anna is survived by her son, Warren Josef Parthen (Susan) of Loudon, TN; two grandchildren, Eric Parthen (Kelly) of Colorado Springs, CO and Heather Eslinger (Aaron) of Colorado Springs, CO; three great grandchildren, Kale and Makena Parthen and Aiden Eslinger. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 29th, at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home immediately following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
