I arrived in Chicago last night to take care of my mom while Marilyn was out of town and received your sad news. Hard to imagine Ann gone. In my mind she will always be about 35 years old, dark hair, easy smile, and tiny little thing that somehow happened to keep up with all of you guys, despite the "run for the money" you all seemed to give her (aided and abetted by your willing next door neighbors!).
The way she opened her pool, her porch, her home, and her heart to us growing up will always be some of my fondest memories. I look back and as a parent of four, I wonder how she managed to keep up so well -- perhaps it was prayer!!!
Please know that friends from your past remember your mom with great affection, and also think back very fondly of you all. I hope your lives continue to be rich with family and friends.

The closeness of Ann's family to one another is testimony to her great success in life. She has finished the race, she has kept the faith. From now on, the crown of a champion awaits her.
