Anita Perry Obituary

Anita E. Perry – 88, of Blush Hill, Waterbury, passed away at Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin on Monday, May 19, 2003. Born in North Cambridge on August 8, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Sanford and Gladys (Greene) Reynolds. Anita was previously married to Azro Perry.

Anita attended schools in No. Cambridge and Elmore. Following her marriage, she worked as a housekeeper in the Waterbury area. She later worked for several years as a nurse’s aide at the former Colby Nursing Home in Waterbury and most recently, she was employed in laundry services for the Vermont State Hospital in Waterbury, retiring in 1976. Her leisure time was spent enjoying flower gardening, crocheting, knitting and fishing.

She is survived by her children, Eleanor Graham of Marshfield, Brenda DeGreenia of Websterville, Donald Perry and Bernard Perry, both of Waterbury; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. 6 brothers and 2 sisters predeceased her.

Funeral services will be held from the Perkins-Parker Funeral Home in Waterbury on Friday at 1 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 – 9 p.m. Interment will be in Waterbury Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Vermont Memorial Processing Center. PO Box 31160, Hartford CT, 06150-1160.
